dc.description.abstract Currently in Bangladesh, most low capacity refrigerant systems (below 1 ton refrigerating effect) use R-12 compressors with R-12 refrigerant fluid. But with the global policy changes of phasing out R-12, these systems need to be replaced. However, changing compressors to fit the replacing fluid is a costly process. This paper finds out whether R-22 and R-134a are suitable for use with R-12 compressors and by comparative analysis determine which one is the best replacement for the systems. en_US
