dc.description.abstract The effective vibrational characteristics of sandwich plates with truss-cores of pyramidal truss lattice structure and reciprocal double-pyramidal truss lattice structure made of carbon fiber composite have been investigated theoretically in this paper. Analytical models were developed using ANSYS® finite element analysis software. Mode shapes and natural frequencies were investigated in both structures using ANSYS® Modal and a frequency versus mode curve was generated for both of the cases. Modal analysis was also done in both structures at different fiber orientations and a natural frequency versus fiber orientation curve was generated for each cases. Frequency response analysis was done using ANSYS® Harmonic and an amplitude (in decibel) versus frequency curve was generated for both of the lattice structures. At last, all of the results for both pyramidal truss lattice structure and reciprocal double-pyramidal truss lattice structure were compared and a conclusion was drawn depending on the results obtained from the investigation en_US
