dc.description Supervised by Prof. Dr. Md. Hamidur Rahman, Department of Mechanical and Production Engineering (MPE), Islamic University of Technology (IUT), Board Bazar, Gazipur-1704, Bangladesh. This thesis is submitted in partial fulfillment of the requirements for the degree of Bachelor of Science in Mechanical and Production Engineering, 2022. en_US
dc.description.abstract The primary objective of this article is to provide a comprehensive overview of the wave energy extraction techniques currently in use. The overview will describe the potential of wave technologies as well as their limitations. In addition, the article will explore the various factors that influence the power performance of Wave Energy Converters. Key factors and their effects on pertinent existing wave energy converter technologies, including capacity factor, dimensionless normalized wave power, and capture width, are discussed. We will compare and discuss the most promising technologies in conclusion. en_US
