dc.description.abstract The rapid growth of the Bangladeshi RMG industry has come at a cost to the environment. With rising consumer consciousness and tightening regulations, sustainable practices are no longer a choice, but a necessity. This research focuses on the challenges and opportunities of implementing Green Supply Chain Management (GSCM) within the Bangladeshi RMG landscape. There are various obstacles that continue to impede growth, despite the fact that RMG administrators have made significant attempts to implement environmentally friendly methods. In this thesis, a hybrid strategy is used to identify and prioritise twelve critical hurdles that span four dimensions, namely technology, knowledge, financial assistance, and government support: Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP): Calculates the weights and prioritizes the identified barriers. Elimination and Choice Translating Reality (ELECTRE-I): Ranks the potential pathways for GSCM implementation based on their overall desirability and feasibility. The analysis reveals technology as the most critical dimension, with the Financial Constraint identified as most significant obstacles. Conversely, green technologies and methods of operation emerge as one of the most efficient pathway for achieving GSCM goals. This research provides valuable insights for both researchers and practitioners in the Bangladeshi RMG industry. The identified barriers and prioritized pathways serve as a roadmap for overcoming challenges and accelerating the transition towards a more sustainable future. en_US
