dc.description.abstract This study was “Knowledge and skill gap between graduates from electronic discipline of polytechnic institutes and industrial requirements in Bangladesh”. Polytechnic graduates of electronic discipline and manager/assistant manager of electronics industries were considered as population of this study. Two structured questioners were sent to five electronic industries that were selected purposively to collect their opinion regarding the knowledge and skills Polytechnic graduates currently possess in their workplace. The sample consisted of five industries selected purposively from Dhaka and Gazipur district. Managers and graduates population becomes 25 persons selected randomly. Knowledge and skills required by industries with electronics engineering units are measuring meters, Active devices, Passive devices, Fault identification, use of tools, control devices, circuit Basic operation and practical skills. The result revels that there is no gap or lacking in between Bangladesh Technical Education Board (BTEB) course curriculum and requirements of electronic industries.
